NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government to develop green hydrogen and derivatives projects, including green ammonia and green methanol, with a capacity of up to 1 million tons per annum.
Maharashtra’s green investment plan for the next five years, represents a potential investment of approximately ₹80,000 crore.
NTPC is on the path of building a renewable energy capacity of 60 GW by 2032.
