EH2 to Deliver 100MW Electrolyzer for Texas Green Hydrogen Project

14 Sept 2023

Texas is poised to become a major player in the green hydrogen revolution with Electric Hydrogen (EH2) at the forefront. EH2 is set to supply a colossal 100MW electrolyzer system for New Fortress Energy's ambitious Texas-based green hydrogen project.

Powerhouse of Green Hydrogen

This Texan project is gearing up to be a green hydrogen powerhouse, aiming to produce approximately 50 tonnes of green hydrogen daily, courtesy of EH2's advanced electrolyzer system. What's equally impressive is the project's timeline, with hydrogen production scheduled to kick off in the fourth quarter of 2024, and full-scale commercial operation expected by 2025. Moreover, the system's capacity has the potential to scale up to a whopping 200 MW in the future.

EH2's Dedication to Green Hydrogen

EH2 is diligently manufacturing the 100MW electrolyzer systems at its Devens, Massachusetts facility, while the balance-of-plant modules are expertly crafted right in the heart of Texas. This ambitious endeavor aligns perfectly with EH2's vision to accelerate green hydrogen adoption, ultimately achieving cost competitiveness with fossil fuels by the end of this decade.

Raffi Garabedian, CEO, and Co-Founder of EH2, reaffirmed the company's commitment to making a substantial impact on emissions reduction across various industrial sectors. He stressed the vital role of large-scale, low-cost green hydrogen production, a goal uniquely attainable with EH2's cutting-edge technology.

Experience and Expertise

EH2 is no stranger to the green hydrogen arena. In 2021, the company unveiled plans to scale up its proprietary electrolysis technology, solidifying its dedication to widespread hydrogen adoption in the United States. Founded by former executives from renewable energy giants First Solar and electric vehicle leader Tesla, EH2 brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the hydrogen market.

As Texas paves the way for a greener future with EH2's groundbreaking technology, the hydrogen revolution gains significant momentum.
