A new report by GenCell highlights the potential of green hydrogen and ammonia as a reliable and sustainable alternative for backup power in telecom networks.
The report suggests that fuel cells should replace diesel generators at remote telecom sites, including telecom towers, as a solution to the current energy challenges faced by telecom companies, including rising prices and the impact of climate change. It is obvious today that carbon taxes and CO2 trading will make fossil fuels more expensive in the future. Telecommunication companies are also rushing to cut their carbon emissions.
