Presented at COP28 in Dubai, the sleek and minimalist design reflects Starck's philosophy of dematerialisation and pays homage to the elemental simplicity of hydrogen.

A Visual Ode to Hydrogen Fueling Stations

Collaborating with HRS, a leading European manufacturer of hydrogen refueling stations, Starck has crafted a dispenser that is as much an artistic statement as it is a functional piece of infrastructure. The design, almost invisible in its reflective polished stainless steel casing, captures the ethereal essence of hydrogen—a colorless, odorless, and tasteless element that constitutes a vast majority of the observable universe.

The dispenser's only distinctive feature is a window made of dichroic glass, offering a glimpse into an almost empty interior. This visual spectacle symbolizes the nothingness associated with hydrogen while adding a touch of modernity with its iridescent effects, a technology originally developed by NASA for spacecraft protection.


Hydrogen Fueling Stations: The Future of Sustainable Mobility
